Given the franchise's history of epic team-ups, it seems unlikely that a character as popular as Deadpool would remain relegated to his own solo films. How the Deadpool sequel will connect with the MCU in terms of narrative remains to be seen. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswill explore the multiverse, which could explain how Deadpool crosses paths with the rest of the MCU heroes. Another obvious option would be that Deadpool is introduced into the MCU through the multiverse, which is set to be a major part of the MCU going forward. Wade's use of it in the Deadpool 2 post-credits scene could have created the two distinct realities, or could have caused him to jump universes - this is more in line with X-Men's treatment of time travel in the comics anyways.
